The UBC Environment and Sustainable Development Secretariat
The practical work of the UBC Commission on Environment (EnvCom) is done in the UBC Environment and Sustainable Development Secretariat. The Secretariat is a co-ordination and service unit for the implementation of the UBC Sustainability Action Programme 2010-2015 - Agenda for Sustainable Baltic Cities.
With staff of over 10 professionals, we offer following services for our member cities and co-operation partners:
- EnvCom meetings twice a year
- UBC Good Practice Database
- carry out Sustainable Development Surveys
- Best Practice Environmental Award
- Baltic Cities Environmental Bulletin
- Assistance with networking and communication
- Assistance with developing and running projects
- Trainings on transport, governance and management.
- Consultation for member cities on sustainability topics
