Environmental Bulletin 2/2011
The Baltic Cities Environmental Bulletin 2/2011 is dedicated to Implementing Baltic Sea Region Strategy.

In the editorial, Norbert Röttgen, Federal Environment Minister of Germany highlights the different challenges of the Baltic Sea Region and how these are met through the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy. A large number of articles received showcase the diversity of actions taken by the local authorities.
The feature story is dedicated to 20 years of UBC Environmental work stressing the new operational environment that we face at the moment.
The city articles from Turku, Jyväskylä, Örebro, Malbork, Linköping, Tartu, Östhammar, Rostock, Slupsk and Sillamäe provide us with more insight on how the cities have met the challenges raised by the EU Baltic Sea Region Strategy. Furthermore, the Bulletin includes actions and methods from Presto, PURE, SNOOP, CHAMP, Covenant of Mayors and BaltCICA. The special pages for the Commission on Energy focus on the ITEST project.
The next edition of the Baltic Cities Environmental Bulletin will be published in April 2012. We hope you will find the content of this current Environmental Bulletin interesting and useful!
